Back in Idaho!!!

It was quite an adventure getting home from Chicago. We had plane trouble in Chicago. We missed our connection in Portland by just a few minutes. We were rerouted onto another plane after a three hour layover in Portland, however that plane was delayed an additional hour due to fog in San Francisco. Finally we flew from Portland to Spokane and then Spokane to Boise. It took us 13 hours to get home...AND our luggage was lost along the way! The good news is that they have located it and it should be delivered later today. So at least I got a little break before I have to unpack.

The pilot of the plane on the Portland to Spokane/Spokane to Boise connections was great! His name was "Jim" and he loved it when we teased him about looking like a "Hollywood Actor Pilot!" He couldn't believe we were in such good spirits after our day long ordeal and he was thrilled to pose for a picture with Mrs. Idaho International after we finally landed in Boise. We'd had such a good time during our week in Chicago that we were determined not to let the day of mixed up travel plans spoil our moods!

Happy to be home

Prelim

So here we are at Prelim night! We had a full day of rehearsal and then about 1 hour to run back to our room to start getting ready. Autumn (my director) came to my room to "help" me do my hair. You can see we were having a lot of fun making sure my hair is BIG enough. Don't worry it all turned out great.

I also posted a picture of what people see as soon as they get off the elevator on my floor. There is also a picture of my door.

I am off to the theater for the prelim pageant. Wish me luck here I GO>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thursday

Can you believe we are already at Thursday? I have had such a wonderful time here in Chicago. I am so thankful that I have been able to share my message about "Get Up, Get Out and Get Active" with so many wonderful people.

Thursday at 9:30am was my interview. All the Judges were wonderful! One of the judges is from our neighbor state of Oregon, and is a cow girl at heart! It was nice to see another cow girl.

After interview Mrs. NJ, Mrs. Pen, and myself met up with Port Ministries to give the shelter some PJ's for the children. I love the fact that these PJ's will help a child sleep better tonight.

After all the interviews were finished it was off to rehearsal. After rehearsal I had a nice surprise waiting for me when I got off the elevator..... My director Autumn Short had decorated the hall and my door with GO IDAHO signs!

The last pictures are from the cocktail dinner on Wednesday night. It was great to see all the beautiful dresses the ladies had.

We are almost to the final night! I do want to remind you that there is still time to go and vote for your favorite contestant at http://www.mrsinternational.com/voting.php?id=196 it is $1.00 per vote.

I will post more for everyone to see later! Wish me luck.

Wednesday

What a GREAT day, we all met to take a trolley tour of down town Chicago. What a beautiful place. After downtown we then went to lunch at the Signature room (what a view). After we returned to the hotel from downtown Chicago we had our makeup seminar then it was off to our first rehearsal.

At tonight dinner we will have our group photo. Stay tuned for more photo's to come.

I am having a wonderful time. Each lady here has a special quality about them that is different. I have been enjoying every moment getting to know the ladies here. I am excited about the new friendships I have started!
